Germany’s progressive death metal masters OBSCURA announce Winter 2019 headlining tour dates supporting the recently released Diluvium full-length. Presented by Metal Hammer, Ibanez Guitars, Guitar Magazine, FUZE Magazine and Metal.de, the tour begins February 1 in Germany and ends February 23 in Austria. Support will be provided by Fallujah, Allegaeon & First Fragment. A full list of confirmed tour dates in available below.

Recorded with longtime producer V. Santura (Triptykon, Pestilence) at Woodshed Studios in Landshut, Germany, Diluvium is a stunning achievement for the illustrious quartet and a landmark release for progressive metal as a whole.

Complete with all the band’s signature elements plus groundbreaking polyrhythms, dramatic songwriting, and jaw-dropping virtuosity, OBSCURA raise the bar once again with an album that will go down in the annals of metal history as one of the most astonishing performances the genre has to offer.

“Diluvium”, the new album from the progressive death metal act Obscura landed at position #3 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200. Obscura‘s previous album, “Akroasis” (2016), landed at #5 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart while “Omnivium” (2011) reached #11 and “Cosmogenesis” (2009) #71.
Furthermore, “Diluvium” entered German “Offizielle Top 100” at #58 and Schweizer Hitparade (Switzerland) at position #93 which marks the very first time in Obscura’s 16 year lasting history to enter official German and Swiss Charts. “Diluvium” marks the band’s most successful and best selling record to this date.
